I would be willing to bet that Euro handles way more money than Empire or the other skins. They are a huge sportsbook in Europe. They gain nothing by stiffing everybody. They know in the long run there is plenty of money to be made.

craig

p.s. What some people bet on a weekend for NFL (and I am sure soccer out of the U.S.) probably dwarfs most people's poker bankroll.

Eurobet should be no problem as they could and will stand on thier own 2 feet with or without poker.

It's those skin only sites that could be a worry.

Eurobet is fine. I would probably play there for a a few days before cashing out. They arent going to abandon their poker operations because of this. No need to panic.

Not to mention they couldnt afford the bad press for their sportsbook.

Just remember that they have thousands of people who may be panicing and they system may be overloaded.

Definately, they have to expect to lose more than 50% of their current poker players because of this and probably are just making claculations as to how much they should have in the account that pays out.

I am somewhere in between these two sentiments. I have a decent amount (about 25% of my modest bankroll is there) at Eurobet and I have absolutely NO desire to just completely lose that money. I would like to believe that all will be alright in just a few days, but I have concerns. This is not an item I will share with my extremely supportive wife.

Maybe the problem is they don't have access (right now) to the amount of money that is trying to be cashed out.

What I always thought happened was that a large portion of the actual money that is represented by a number in all of your cashiers is being invested by eurobet, and they only keep x amount of money truly available for cash-outs (as little as they deem reasonable so they can make as much money as they can off investing).

It is at least possible that this is Party's fault. A defect in the Party upgrade could have screwed up the interface between the Eurobet cashier and the poker tables. It is possible that a few account balances are messed up but Eurobet doesn't know which ones they are.

I could understand why they might not want to do transfers under those circumstances.

Eurobet is undoubtedly having a worse day than any of us. Chill and give them a fair chance to sort out the problem, whatever it is.

10-09-2005, 02:58 AM
i just had a beautiful dream......what if eurobet was just tryin to stall until they can "fix" this seperate tables crap......and in 48hrs everything can go back to normal and none of us have to start forging resumes....yesssss....i can see it happening......oh god let that be the case

I have no actual knowledge of the inner workings of Eurobet/Partypoker but I suspect the following:

When you deposit money on Eurobet-poker, Eurobet poker has to deposit that money with Pary Poker. When you withdraw your money from Eurobet-poker, Eurobet has to withdraw that money from Party Poker. That process takes time and it makes sense to just do those transactions in bulk. However, to facilitate player cash outs and deposits Eurobet has limited funds on hand to process a typical days cashouts without having to wait for the money to come from Party Poker. Ocassionally demand for cashout exceeds the money they have on hand at that particular time. When that happens the poker cashier goes down for "maintenance reasons". When Eurobet gets the money from Party Poker the cashier will reopen.

Is it just me, or do other people think that this technical issue isn't an accident?

Just curious, are there also technical issues putting money INTO poker? /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I was just able to submit a withdrawal request from Poker to Sports and then to Neteller. Let's see when it shows up in Neteller.

no I mean I was sayin that since my balance resetted to my balance on friday earlier today that hitting up the higher limits would almost be like a freeroll.
