View Full Version : The "New" Party - Pros & Cons

I had not yet moved to a rakeback skin, now I am glad I didnt. I see this as a big plus for staying on Party.

8 tables without any hassle
Less 2+2ers (bonus chasers, rakebackers, educated players)
BJ - which will draw more bad players from the Party casinos

Cons - I dont know. From a player who never left Party, this seems too good to be true.

is all of this over people losing rakeback? that is really not as big a deal as everyone is making it IMO

you either:
1. Don't have a very good rakeback deal
2. Don't play nearly as much as a lot of us.
3. Are wealthy enough that the extra hundreds (in some players cases thousands) of dollars in rakeback each month don't matter to you.

Maybe you are loaded... but for me and my 3 kids, 3-4k usd a month is a big deal!

Pros:

No RB From skins,
More tags at party(Unless they wanna play Tag Vs Tag),
BlackJack to decrease Fish's Bankrolls,

There will still be good games on the skins, just not as many. There are other sites that have rb that we can play on.

In the long run, this may be good for us if other sites step up to the plate.

I think it is a real bad business move by Party. In the long run they will suffer for this.

The people who will be most damaged by this are Eurobet affilates.

In a brillian 3/6 game right now. Maniac fish all around me. So far so good.

Although, quads have come up 5 times in the past 20 hands so the new update probably includes game rigging mechanisms :|

yeh party will suffer. I can just see poker boom dying after todays activitys.

this is such a bummer. I've been playing pro for about 5 months, and finally set up a rake back account. I actually withdrew to deposit in the new empire account today. 1k a month in rake back I'll never get now. I haven't redeposited yet. still figuring out what to do.

good point on busting fish faster with the black jack too. This is why pacific tables are so ridiculous. It's tied into their casino site. Makes for very bad variance and absurd bankroll swings when all these novice gamblers jump into the ring games.
