seriously. if they knew they were shutting down the servers an hour ago, why would they start up SNGs and MTTs?

maybe they only knew a couple minutes before the shut down that they were going to have to.

Indeed...usually when they have a server shutdown (5am is a common time for them to do this) they stop all the MTT's and SNG's well ahead of time.


Saturday afternoon in the U.S. and Saturday evening in Europe is NOT the ideal time for them to purposely have a shot-down....and the fact that they had all these tourneys going as well indicates that they obviously weren't planning on doing this too far ahead of time.
I would guess that something happened all of a sudden to require a shut-down.

The fact that they are announcing that they are going to be down for that many hours is a bit strange too.

OK, from looking at the My Account Activity link from the websites, i find this:

I was in 12 SNGs @ $22 each. i think i had under 800 chips in each of them. My refunds are as follows:

27, 22, 24.22, 22,
27, 27, 27, 27,
22, 24.22, 24.22, 24.22

SO, overall, im pretty happy the servers crashed since i didnt have more than 800 chips in any SNG.

I hope someone from party can post here and say why they let all of us put money in MMT ans SNG then shut down.

people in SNGS: dont worry about getting your money back, they do a good job of it. you will not get shafted.

if you were in an MTT, i dont know if they issued you a refund (i suspect they did on some pro rated basis), but for SNGs im guessing they refunded everyone.

Great, was looking to sit down and finish the last 500 hands I needed to complete my bonus, looks like I'll have to find something else to waste my time with!

i had no problem logging in thru the websites.

www.multipoker.com (http://www.multipoker.com) click My Account (enter name and pass), the click "Account Activity".

it's working fine for me still. not sure why it wouldnt be working for you. it was a slight laggish logging in, but not more than 10 seconds or so.

on top of that....typically their estimates are optimistic.

Example: If they have a shut-down at 5am and say they will re-start at 7am...they frequently don't ACTUALLY re-start until 8:30 or so.
