Down to the last 70 or so of a PP small buyin tourney. Blinds are 1500/3000 and I have about 21,000 (shortstack at my table but just below average overall). I have just been moved to the table, so no reads. I am UTG+1 and pick up 99. Obviously this is a push from MP2 and onward but I don't feel too great about having so many people to act behind me. My play is...

Push.. raise is out of the question, takes up too much of your stack and 99 vs. > 1 person = no good. Push, you'll most likely take the blinds or be in a race.. with your stack a race is more than welcome

Yea I didn't feel great about pushing but I was pretty sure it was a play I needed to make given my average-below average stack. A medium stack called w/ AJs and sent me packin. Can't seem to win these critical coinflips late in tourneys...Next Time.

This is a push and it's not even close.

With 7 big blinds you can't really fold and wait for a better hand b/c you honestly probably won't get one.

You can't put in any pf raise b/c that essentially committs yourself to the pot anyways.

Limp or limp/raise is pretty much out of the question because your hand is so vulnerable.

It's one of those make or break situations in a tournament, sucks when the guy right behind you has AA or something like that but you can always just suckout.

Hope it worked out.

I was pretty certain almost everyone would say push but I just wanted to confirm. Thanks for the responses.
