villain 1 vpip 74% he's extremely passive postflop, only seen him bet a couple times

villain 2 vpip 22 pfr 8 he's also extremely passive postflop I have never seen him raise in 50 hands (or even continuation bet) but he does continuation bet about 80% of the time.

I wanted to check/raise here although the more I think about it the more I think betting out would have been better

I think you should have re-raised pre-flop

This is so ugly right now, you might well have the best hand, but if you call you have a horrible turn spot and if you raise everything you beat folds and you end up spewing to a better hand. I would never find myself in this spot cause I pretty much always reraise preflop. I think it's a definite mistake not doing so here. I begrudgingly fold here and then curse when the rest of the streets are checked through and MPs pair of tens beat aq unimproved.
