Is picking these series of numbers for a dollar any less likely to win California's Lotto(as opposed to a random set of numbers)?

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, Mega (6)

Danny,

All numbers are equally likely to get picked by the lotto drawing (assuming there is no fix). However, certain numbers or combinations of numbers are less likely to be picked by the PUBLIC. For some reason, people underpick the outside of the ticket and numbers grouped tightly together (it doesn't look random). People overpick numbers 1 thru 12 (birthday months) and 1 thru 31 (birthday days). So avoid the overpicked numbers or number combinations and it will be more likely that you are the only winning player if lightning strikes and your number is picked.

BTW, I hate the lottery and have NEVER bought a ticket.

Regards,

Rick
