View Full Version : Smooth Call or Push on the Flop?

$25 PLO -- Hero is SB with Q /images/graemlins/spade.gif Q /images/graemlins/club.gif 3 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 6 /images/graemlins/heart.gif. MP+1 raises to 50 cents. Cutoff, Hero and BB call. All others fold. Pot $2.

Flop Q /images/graemlins/heart.gif 4 /images/graemlins/spade.gif 8 /images/graemlins/club.gif. Hero bets $1. BB folds. MP+1 raises to $5. Cutoff calls $5. Hero? MP+1, Cutoff, and Hero all begin hand with about $23.

My read on MP+1 is middle or small set. Cutoff is unknown, but far behind regardless.

Is it better to get all the money in on the flop, or just smooth call and force MP+1 and Cutoff to call a pot sized bet on the turn? Does anyone think both MP+1 and Cutoff would fold on the turn?

As it turns out, Hero pushed, both MP+1 and Cutoff called. A runner runner flush by MP+1 won the pot.

For the higher limit players, is there a difference in playing this type of hand at $200 PLO and up versus $25 and $50?
