I'm not familiar enough with all the regular posters in here, nor do I read and/or post in this forum often enough, to organize something like this. But I think the idea has potential, so I'm throwing it out there.

What would the award categories be?
What would the "award" be named? (What is OOT's version of an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy or Espy?)
What would you wear?

(OK, maybe not so much the last one ...)

I thought it has potential if someone took the idea and ran with it, Seems a good recipe for controversy and bickering which is always fun.

I'm not going to get rid of actual threads now as mistakes can't be undone. I will be paying more attention to dan though.

I don't really the the idea was all that bad but instead you should have just taken charge and done the actual awards, post of year, poster of the year, worst of both, new poster of the year, worst new poster of the year and some original ones.

First announce the nominees, then have some type of academy decide the whole the thing. Next comes the award post.

this way everyone gets to complain and make fun of the worst of award winners. shaming always goes over well here.

instead you just kind of screwed the whole thing up and instead created a lame post for gorie to play in

My hope was that some posters with more knowledge of OOT events/regulars would pick the idea up and run with it. I suppose I could have come up with the categories and taken nominations for those categories. But truthfully, I don't have enough time to organize something that could have become pretty massive.

Which probably means I should have kept my cursor away from the "post" button. Like I said, I see your point.
