Tonight's show is a 300/500 NL game without the expected theme that was mentioned earlier this week.

Last night's show was their 50/100 NL "Whale Game", which was the best whale game that didn't have Barry Greenstein included in the show. Something I learned from last night's show: Diablo + Jesus + James Woods + Hasan Habib on mega-tilt - boring businessmen = quality show. As usual, www.liveatthebike.com (http://www.liveatthebike.com) from 6-9pm PT to follow the action.

One final note, has anyone who's had problems watching the show posted their problems to the Computer Technical Help forum to see if they could help out?

10-06-2005, 08:35 PM
Maybe James Woods will become a regular on LATB. How much is he up in the two games he played? 6 or 7k maybe?

Kevmath
10-06-2005, 08:45 PM
I don't think he's up that much, I'd say at most maybe about 1-2k, also note that he wasn't playing with his own money last night, Hasan had given him 5k to have him play at the table.

10-06-2005, 08:51 PM
Yeah, thats right. Last night it looked like Woodsy had about 10k in chips when the show ended. Which would make him 5k ahead. and wasn't he up about 1k or 1.5k on tues night after seat 7 miss read his hand?

is the 300/500 a regular game at the bike?

Kevmath
10-06-2005, 09:01 PM
They added the 300min/500max game about 3 months ago as a stepping stone between the $200 NL and the $500 NL unrestricted buyin game.

Last night's show was great, but it's good to see different levels like this one.

Kevmath
10-06-2005, 09:07 PM
Agreed, and as I mentioned at the start of the thread, some valuable additions made the game last night so much better than the past few weeks.

10-06-2005, 09:07 PM
holy [censored] it sounds like tuch is deep throating the mic. nice way to welcome us.

LeftyAce, did he say? the 2+2 guy? Doesn't show up in the username search.

Kevmath
10-06-2005, 09:10 PM
Look in the Monday thread, he should turn up a couple times there.

EDIT: I did that myself, and it's LeftyAce7 who's a relatively new poster but said he was a long time follower of the show.

LeftyAce7 - thanks kev.

Bart, I emailed this last night but never heard a response, maybe I missed it.

How many simultaneous feeds are going on nowadays? In other words, how many people are watching?

Thanks

Is there a 2+2er in this game? I just tuned in.

Thanks for the answer Bart!

I've watched UK poker, and it's terrible. The blackjack shaped table is horrible to watch them play on. The broadcasters are boring as [censored].

Any talks with Cox Digital cable to get on a poker channel if they ever get it?

Seat 5 would have been my guess.

LOL

Nice play by the n00b in seat 9, goes all-in before the guy even makes his bet.

I acted out of turn once at a Taj tourney in AC, guy looked at me like I had three heads, then thanked me for saving him money. I went all in. /images/graemlins/smile.gif I was tired.

surfinillini
10-06-2005, 09:43 PM
would that be considered a FALSE START on seat 9?

not too bright... /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hollywood won a good sized pot when he had KK vs Brian's 77 Bart.

I think he broke him.

Silly question, but has there been talk about being on local cable in LA, sort of like on an infomercial type basis?

cwsiggy
10-06-2005, 09:49 PM
Doesn't your pot equity go up significantly with a harmless turn card. sort of the same idea in Ed Miller's book talking about overpairs to a scary flop concept. Or is it just too dangerous in no limit to wait for the turn???

Agreed, that's probably how I should've phrased the question. You could just stick the LA Poker Scene show on public access twice a week and get a few eyeballs to stare at it, especially if Shirley was on the show.

Why is it they allow these players to play out of racks? Intentional game slowdown in order to enable better L@TB coverage?

Kevmath
10-06-2005, 09:56 PM
It's a standard thing in California to play out of racks.

10-06-2005, 09:59 PM
the other day you said that full timr players should play no less than 30-60 limit.
I know many players that play less than that.
can you clarify why you feel this way/

thanks /images/graemlins/cool.gif

Looking at the Bike's site, there is a mention of 1 rebuy only, so it'll get closer to the 10k guarantee.

This irritates the hell out of me, too. I've never heard a good reason why players should be allowed to play out of racks.

black 5 - what a turn card for seat 2

jakeinsanjose
10-06-2005, 10:09 PM
you cannot play out of racks in san jose ca as well

Dogg8808
10-06-2005, 10:09 PM
If you play some of the area Tribal cardrooms, they require the chips to be out of the rack. They say it "kills the jackpot"

DID ANYONE ELSE HATE THAT DARK CHECK?

If seat 3 led out anyone think he would've taken it down?

Russ you big ass pussy! you should have pushed all in!

What could he put him on with the limp large reraise from EP?

If he calls with JJ before the flop, he either puts him on AA or KK in which he is beat, or he's up against an underpair or AK suited; can he really put him on AQ making that play preflop?

Calling the pot with JJ on the flop just to fold it on the turn with no scare card?

10-06-2005, 10:23 PM
Daves on tilt today.(his cheap pen is out of ink) lol

kelvin474
10-06-2005, 10:24 PM
Ed M. says that people can play 3-6 esp with the "unmentionable". I kind of agree, although I wouldn't want to actually play it fulltime because I can make more in my real job.

You could make a decent supplimental income at 8/16 - 10/20 but you won't be able to live comfortably on it. 20/40 and up would be the best idea, depending on your living expenses.

If I wanted hotties, there's plenty of porn out there...I watch for the poker. (Not that GOOD POKER PLAYING hotties wouldn't be welcome...)

Russ McGinley

HOW WOULD YOU PLAY IT?????

I love this part of CPS.

Except when they forget to give they analysis before we see the cards.

Russ McGinley
10-06-2005, 11:48 PM
I didn't hear any analysis. Tuch said "He's playing it like two overcards" then almost instantly after this, the cards were shown. Playing a few hands a night blind is a good idea, just needs a little testing. Maybe like once a night for a week to see how it goes.

10-06-2005, 11:56 PM
Here's a thought Bart, how about directing them to the Brick and Mortar forum that has a B&M Newbie guide as well as tons of questiond regarding rules and such? Probably would save you guys the trouble of having to explain things over and over again when they are already here in print.

10-07-2005, 12:09 AM
Thanks for watching!

Good show - I spoke to Sean and he loves the game. He had control of the table most of the night.

as usual, if you have any questions feel free to send me a private message. Tomorrow night's game is already sold out. It's bluff night...NL hold'em with 10-20 blinds.
