i have sat with villain plenty of times, i have seen him limp reraise with AA plenty of times(though its not AA 100% of the time). he's a tricky player.

villain: $670
hero: $640

villain is UTG and limps i am in the CO with 99 and raise it to $30 (probably bad since he limped UTG and should have sent of warning bells), villain reraises to $100, hero calls.

flop (K /images/graemlins/heart.gif8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif3 /images/graemlins/club.gif)~209
villain checks???, hero checks.

turn(K /images/graemlins/heart.gif8 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif3 /images/graemlins/club.gif9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif)~209
villain bets $200, hero???

did he check a set of kings here, this was a very friendly flop for a set of kings and IMO not a terrible move to let me catch a piece of my hand with no draws on the board. i just have never seen him do this with kings is all.

any thoughts?

this is the part where you go broke. Folding pre isn't bad either.

yeah this is a clear push/fold situation.

i made a mistake raising this pot and then compounded it by calling the limp reraise.

is folding bad here though?

Too short to think about folding, IMO. If you're calling preflop, I don't see how you lay it down. Time to push...

yeah because of sheer possibility of slowplayed-AA, 88 and some other bs...He showed you KK but you gotta move on and keep playing good poker.

How are you gonna put 100 dollars in preflop then fold when you hit your set? If your scared of set over set then dont call the reraise in the first place. He could still have AA/QQ/AK/bluff, all of which your beating. Id insta push that turn.

if you really really really think he has KK then just call, and see what river action is like

He either has KK and is trapping, or has AA and is considering whether or not you have KK.
