Chipotle is owned by McDonald's and Baja Fresh is owned by Wendy's. Pollo Loco is owned by Denny's. FYI.

Best burrito are Alberto's and El Mexicano. Best chicken is Albertson's (yes, the grocery store) roasted chicken.

What does a bunch of stock holders have to do with the quality of the food? FYI Sherlock, Ford owns Aston Martin.

Aston Martin sucks then. So do Jaguar and Lamborghini. Owned by Ford too.

I lived very close to the original Chipotle store in Denver while in college, way back before McDonald's had anything to do with it. The food there then was the same as it is now--if anything, a little bit of menu expansion has made it better. If you don't like Chipotle, that's fine, but McDonald's has nothing to do with it.

If you don' think there is a difference between food served in local restaurants, made with local ingredients and created by local cooks and food served in multinational corporations made from factory-produced ingredients and created by food scientists in laboratories you are very lost.

Baja Fresh and Chipotle are way too clean and corporate looking to have anything truly tasty. In terms of chains, I'm a pretty big fan of Taco Mesa (in the Southern California/Orange County area). And hell yeahh to whoeever mentioned Alerto's/Alberto's etc
