I play primarly online 2-4 and 3-6 the games I play are prety loose and fairly passive preflop. normaly 35 to 45 % seeing the flop. my question is how to play medium pocket pairs in this game eithts thru tens particulaly. in early or middle position I usually just call with them raising the tens about 50% of the time and in late position if there is already 4 callers ill ocasionaly raise with the 9 also. Im curious if its profitable to raise with these hands more often in early or middle position. even after a raise its still usually 3 maybe even 4 handed so the raise wont push out to many overcards and half the time somone will call the pf raiser down with second best pair so its hard to buy. anyways when should I raise these hands or is it better off smoothcalling inorder to get maximum pot odds if I flop a set
