Just got back from my first trip to California/Vegas and spent a considerable amount of time at the bike. I played in a 40-80 game with a young women who said she was a prop player, and that the bike payed her 46 dollars an hour to play. She had to put in 8 hours a day, and was obligated to play all limits and all games.
I'm just about graduate college, and was thinking about heading down to california and play for a couple years. Although I would want to make my own hours, 46 an hour on top of a decent hourly rate sounds pretty good provided you can beat the games. Anyone know a little more about the positives and negatives of this? Obvioulsy having no game selection would suck, and I wouldnt want to get stuck in too many short games with top players. That being said, I was not impressed with the strength of most of the games out there. Anybody have any thoughts? Why dont more players take advantage of this?
