Proper aggression numbers

My aggression is at 3.5. Is that too high? Every time I have a good couple thousand hands or so, my aggression is in the 2-2.7 range, and when it creeps up over 3 I usually lose. I'm not sure if this is cause or correlation.

There's no quick answer to your question. If you read these threads, you should get some sort of an idea, though.
