So this hand came up after 5 hands at the table. What do you do here if you are readless? Does the fact that it is 25max allow for way looser calling standards? Do you need to see a player way overplaying a-x to make this call profitable? Did I raise enough preflop?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

BB ($34.48)
UTG ($14)
MP ($54.54)
CO ($11.05)
Hero ($25)
SB ($29.20)

Preflop: Hero is Button with K/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, A/images/graemlins/heart.gif. UTG posts a blind of $0.25. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
UTG (poster) checks, 1 fold, CO calls $0.25, Hero raises to $1.5, SB (poster) calls $1.40, BB calls $1.25, UTG folds, CO calls $1.25.

Flop: ($6.25) 2/images/graemlins/spade.gif, A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif, 8/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (4 players)
SB checks, BB bets $3, CO folds, Hero raises to $9, SB folds, BB calls $29.98 (All-In), Hero....

Comments are appreciated

I have to fold this here, it screams "I beat top pair/top kicker".

Looks like trip 8's to me.

I call here, you will see a3-a7, A9-AQ, or a flush draw way more often than you would see A8, A2, 22, or 88 here. If you lose, that sucks, but in my expereince its ok to go to the felt with AK on flops like these. Also, you have a backdoor flush draw, so IF he is drawing to diamonds (which you are beating anyway) you have a sweet redraw. Call.

Edit: To clarify, a call is my default play here. If I have a read that villain is tight or passive, then I fold here, but most of the 25nl players are morons who will do this with hands you are beating. I would expect to be c/minraised on the turn if I was behind.

With no reads, I fold. I like the flop raise, but I fold to the push. Preflop raise is okay.

This is a tough spot, and one in which I'm sure I've lost more chips than I should. Even at $25, this looks like a set to me. I really like how you played it.

Yep, looks standard. On a rainbow board you'd be better to flat call his flop bet, but with the two diamonds here, your play is exactly what I'd do.
