I started on Pokerstars and left because the beats seemed too unrealistic. Not so sure about that now but... we all go through that phase, right?

I then moved on to UB, which I eventually left because their servers crashed while I was having my best MTT ever and they barely compensated me for it.

Pacific because of collusion and the lack of caring that it's going on.

Poker Room beause of the lack of good games and to many butterfly players that come and go.

I left Pacific in order to whore and multitable.
I left Party because they killed my overhead reduction.
I left Absolute because they can't do basic math.
I left Poker Mountain because everyone else did.
I left Titan because their software really, really sucks.

PokerRoom, because of small MTT, STT that take too long, and not good traffic on Ring Games.

Also Doyle's Room, since I only deposited $100 to get SuperSystem 2, and got knocked out by some truly horrendously bad parts of negative variance.

Currently at Empire, Euro, and Stars.

i left party because they cut off rakeback/i hate their SNG's.

10-05-2005, 03:31 PM
InterPoker

They screwed me out of $175 in bonus money after first screwing me over for $300 in bonus money by changing their definition of raked hand during the bonus clearing period. I came back after I moved up in limits and they offered the SS2 promotion and a $20 for 1 hand promotion. They claimed that my non-expiring sign up bonus had expired, but out of the goodness of their hearts they would give me $125 of the $300 in bonus that I had earned.

Sad thing is, if they offer a good enough reload bonus in the next few months, I'll probably go back.

I left Empire because my results there were terrible. It just rubbed me the wrong way, and there are so many other sites that it's not a big deal.

I'm close to leaving Absolute because playing against the members of this forum on a daily basis is not fun/profitable.

I've left a lot of sites, but the only ones I really have no intention of ever playing again are Crypto and Pokerroom.

I left the crypto's. The software sucks and games went from bad to worse when they added micro-limits. Plus they took a reasonable amount of money from my account during that casino whoring incident.

Pokerroom, pretty much just because of the software.

jwp
10-05-2005, 04:16 PM
Bugsy's Club -- lack of games.
Interpoker -- ignoring my customer service requests that they pay me the full amount due for one of the pocket Kings promotions. Only after I told them that I left and why (after 2 months of no action on my multiple requests) did they pay me what they owed. Then they offered $20 for coming back which I did, for one orbit, before cashing that out.

Pokerroom because the software got bad.
Paradise because it doesn't really work with PokerAce seeing as you can't easily get hand histories.

1. Auto-caller. I call the preflop bet, it comes back raised, and Paradise auto-calls the raise. There were no pre-action buttons checked, the cursor was parked in a safe area, and my hand was nowhere near the mouse. This happened several times a week. No big deal, because I always called those anyway, but still a bug.

2. Auto-folder. A variation on the auto-caller. I call preflop, it comes back raised, but instead of auto-calling, Paradise auto-folds my hand. This happened less often than #1, but still happened occasionally. The one that pushed me over the edge: I called preflop with Ace suited, it came back raised, and Paradise auto-folded me. I flopped the nut flush, but my cards had been folded and Paradise stole my money. They refused to do anything about it and basically called me a liar, so I left.

3. Auto-river-checker. Heads up on the river and I'm planning to bet or raise. My opponent checks and Paradise auto-checks me and turns over the cards. The first few times this happened I assumed my opponent was all-in. After awhile I started watching to make sure. He wasn't. Paradise just auto-checked my hand and stole my money.

I started on PokerStars but left 2 years ago when Party was full of fish. I still play tournaments there and bonuses when available.

I left UB when they changed their system on calculating bonus points. I wont even play the bonuses there.

I left True Poker because I couldn't stand the software and the game is too slow. I wont even play bonuses there.

I left Absolute because I can't stand the look of the screens (too much going on there) and I couldn't stand the 9 player tables. I wont return for a bonus ther either.

Paradise and Eurobet are next on my list as they both are getting more and more irritating as I use them. Also, Eurobet is my only source for rakeback or I would have left long ago.

I am working on getting rakeback at Empire to make that my home. If I could get rakeback on PokerStars I consider going full circle and returning there which is where I started. Ironic.

I have left few prima skins when I just got beat all the time being 80-90% ahead. I have left Pokerroom because I didn't feel like playing there. I have left Paradise (in 2000) when they started to cheat me. I left Planet because its skin sucked and the games were not good enough in comparison at that time (in 2000). I left Parties when they got more tough (2002-3) and I didn't like their double fluctuations. I left UB as I liked to play at PokerStars instead, then went to UB's skin Pokershare as they give 40% of their profits back to their players, but I soon noticed I could have got a 33% rakeback deal too and got too sad to play at Pokershare anymore. I left Ladbrokes as I didn't enjoy playing there and their slow prima software. For some reason I don't enjoy playing at 24hPoker except occasionally. I am not mentioning sites where I didn't play for one reason or the other, or just played little, or Pasific I played just little, but I didn't enjoy it while I didn't like their rake and from some part the quality of their games or missing shorthanded limits. I left TruePoker (in 2001-2) when I had finished playing 1-2 limit, while I did play 1-1 blinds NL at one point but it sucked more money per round and the stacks were small, though many horrible players, so again it was just a feel and I stopped playing there. Parties limit 1-2 6 max was nice soft game from most part in the past, but I didn't like any other games there really (in the beginning their NL games were really loose, but then became tight), and the 5-10 was next, while now there's 3-6 that has part of the time those nice soft opponents but overall I got the impression that they are pretty tough or at least have decent players, so I didn't choose to play it in 2005. From primas I would somewhat enjoy playing Expect but the games are not that good to overcome better deals elsewhere.

Left Empire because I went f'king broke. Found a happy home a Stars.

I left TruePoker because of a real bad run. Just figured a change of scenery would do me good.

I liked the site, though, and I would go back if they ever email out a reload bonus offer.

10-06-2005, 01:57 PM
I started on Party and played it for 6 months straight until finding Pokerstars and loving the software. My current rotation now includes AbsolutePoker and soon will include wherever I can find a decent rakeback cause I'm tired of reading abotu everyone else's deals and playing without one.

I have left:

Full Tilt: suckered in by that huge bonus when they started, frustrated by lack of games late night and goofy looking software. Did think it was cool to play with "name" pros at times. That feeling lasted 2 weeks.

TruePoker: hated the software. Go ahead and laugh but it took me like 15 minutes just to figure out how to sit at a table. Lasted the first day, didnt' play again for a week, cashed out and quit.

Paradise: actually played here for quite some time, they had good bonuses for a while. Left when I started losing streak and just lost motivation to play there.

UB: Recently left. Have enjoyed it for a while and decent bonuses in the past, but annoyed by their new bonus structure/reduction. Absoultely love the software but I've decided lower bonus and lack of results, I've had it. I'm never a guy to scream "rigggged!" but seriously, but it's the only site where I have a major loss versus profits or slight loss at all the others I belong to.

All the Cryptos - Software made my computer restart every hour or so. No disconnect protect meant it cost me some big pots.

Paradise - Bad software, and the disappearing tables in the lobby really pissed me off.

True Poker - Horrible looking software and zero game selection at 3/6 and 5/10.

Ultimate Bet - Left once they changed their bonus point structure to .5 points max.

Party Poker - With their new bonuses, there's no reason to play there anymore.

So basically I only play at Empire/Eurobet, Full Tilt, and Absolute. I play at PokerStars when they offer bonuses, and I'm still working on the PowerPlayer.com $1000 bonus (PR skin), but after that's done I'll probably be done with PR and the skins.

I left Paradise cuz I hated the software.

I left FTP because I got 1 outed in two consectutive all in pots in a row for 100 bbs each (got em all in set over set they nailed quads twice). I knew it wasn't rigged, but after a week of "running bad" and then that I just had a bad feeling whenever I looked at the tables. Ultimate paranoia. I realized I was trying to NOT lose money when I hit a set, I needed an environment change.

I left Doyles room because at that point the 20$NL games weren't as good as 25$NL games, ditto for prima.

I left UB NL cuz of the pot bet button. I could have worked around it, but chose not to.

I left Pokerroom cuz the software would crash my rig every 37 minutes.

Almost never play Paradise because their Hand History retrieval system blows. Too bad, it has become rather fishy.

10-06-2005, 04:29 PM
I left Pokerroom because of the rake

I left totalbet, because the software stinks and the bonus was easy.

those are the only 2, which I left and have no intention of going back to.

10-06-2005, 08:02 PM
I had a situation like Guthrie described just yesterday. I had A9s UTG. I raise, called by four others, flop is A8T (one is my suit) and Paradise auto-folded for me. I'm so glad I didn't have to tax any additional grey matter thinking about how to play the rest of that hand. /images/graemlins/mad.gif

Fortunately, the hand was NOT one that Paradise missed when sending me hand histories, so I will send an email and see what happens.

I do have to say that when Paradise upgraded their servers recently, play has been much faster and more enjoyable. And more players and tables, so more money for me. /images/graemlins/wink.gif

Pros and cons at every site, I guess.

I left Paradise after a day because the only thing worse than their slow software is their awful customer service.

Sure I play on Pacific, but the players make up for the bad software. (Plus its not like I can't multi table via other sites.)

Drew16
10-06-2005, 09:55 PM
I left Interpoker because the site is slow, software is crappy, not enough tables or tourneys, bonuses that are impossible to clear and cashing out took way too long.

I recently left pokerstars (at least for now) because my butthole was hurting.

I left Empire - because they banned me - for bonus whoring - although they forget the 1st few month where I dropped a few K there.

Platinum Poker - I just cannot get back on.

Every site that I think I have left, I have revisited for a bonus, a free roll or something.

Paradise - Shitty software
TruePoker - Shittier software
Pacific - Huge steaming pile of [censored]
Banner Poker, Earth Poker, etc - Somehow worse than Pacific
Active Poker - The Shittiest! Now with 100% more [censored] in every bite!

PokerRoom - New rake chart (Rake>10% = Hell No)
Caribbean Sun - Max rake $6 on GBP tables
PokerNow, Empire, Multipoker - Combination of terminated unmentionable and a banning for receiving unmentionable
Party - Fully half the English language is censored in chat. Also, a hand that's 85% to win on the turn loses on the river 99% of the time.
Prima - Somehow they think I have multiple aliases.
GamesGrid - You bastards turned it into a black hole.

I left Paradise because the players are slowest on the net, software is insanely slow, and no reloads of any type.
I left Bodog because I just hated the interface.
I tried True Poker (free play) and left almost imediately as the play was extremely slow and was annoying as hell to watch everyone pick up there cards every time one hit the board.

Paradise because it doesn't really work with PokerAce

This is one reason I love Paradise for. As I am much better than my opponents at 200/500NL level at reading people/table without any 3rd party software Iam more than happy than my opponents cant use PokerAce and have to struggle to even use PT.
I left Sportingbet cause software is very bad (you cant take notes for example + shitty cashier) despite of very juicy games. I left Prima network before making first deposit cause their software and customer service sucks.

I play short-handed (5-6 max) $25NL, $50NL and the occasional $100NL at these sites:

TruePoker: Started my online poker career and stayed for about 2 years. I won thousands during that time. Games eventually dried up for me there. Same people at the tables every friggin day! Left due to limited table/game selection, ridiculous blind structure, slow and very busy software, lack of reload bonuses, no 4-ColorDeck.

Pacific: Deposited to clear a bonus. Software was so bad I withdrew the same day and never returned.

Royal Vegas: Same as Pacific

PokerRoom: Software sucked. Lost about $100 here and said C YA!

PartyPoker: I only play here to clear reload bonuses. Great game selection, decent software.

Full Tilt: Went here after leaving TruePoker and won consistently for about a month or so. Then I couldn’t win a hand to save my life. (Doom switch? LOL) I was break-even for another month or so then started losing consistently no matter what I did. Just had to get the hell out before I tilted my bankroll away. I cleared a couple bonuses here, but their bonus requirements suck total ass. I don’t intend on returning anytime soon. Did get to play and chat with Phil Ivey, John Juanda and Clonie Gowen though :>)

Absolute: Basically a little better than break-even here over a 3 month period. Software is not so great. Pretty buggy, aesthetically unappealing and often very slow. NL tables filled with the same bonus whores day in and day out. I did clear a few hundred in deposit/reload bonuses there, but I cashed out my bankroll and even left over $400 in pending bonuses sitting there.

TotalPoker, SportingBet and Casino.net: Whored all 3 of these and left. Terrible software.

PokerStars: Deposited at PS to get the 20% bonus. Deposited $600.00 on 09/23/05, cashed out approx. $1,350 less than two weeks later. Great software, great game selection. I plan on returning for every reload bonus.

BetFred: Whored this site for the 100% to $100 bonus. Cleared it in 6 hours (easiest bonus to clear EVER). Decent software. Decent game selection. GREAT customer service/support.

Bet365: Whored this site for their $100 bonus and will be returning this month for the Oct reload bonus

BoDog: I thought this site sucked!! Lame software. Left after I got sucked out on twice and lost my $100 bonus that they give you up front. Oh well, no harm done. I won’t be back.

Paradise: Playing there now to get the deposit bonus and this is my first PSO promo that I am attempting to clear. Software seems average at best. I hate the (5-max instead of 6-max, but I’m getting used to it). I’m up about $75 after one night so it’s going well so far.

I will be whoring Carribean Sun, PokerRewards, PokerNow and a few others in the near future.
