In a 1/2 NL hold em full ring game at a local casino, Hero is on the button with K /images/graemlins/spade.gif K /images/graemlins/club.gif. After several limpers, including the cutoff, Hero raises to $20. SB, BB and cutoff all call. Pot is about $86. Hero has $130 left, cutoff about $400.

Flop is 9 /images/graemlins/heart.gif 7 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif 2 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif. Checked to Hero, who bets $50. SB and BB both fold. Cutoff calls. Turn is 9 /images/graemlins/spade.gif. Cutoff bets out $100, effectively putting Hero all in. Hero ... ?

Read on cutoff is that he is somewhat loose with flop calls, but otherwise seems fairly solid. Call or fold? Hero's play throughout? Flop bet too small?

I think I'm pushing the flop here. A pot sized bet is roughly half your stack and the board is draw heavy.

Fold the turn when he bets into you though. You're not beating much right now but a lower pocket pair. The flush hit, the 9 hit and I think there are better spots for you.

= you putting your money in. Bet 70-80 on the flop, rest on turn.

I think you can even make a case for sticking it all in on the flop.

With only 1.5x pot behind, I think that just pushing the flop is the best move here.
