Mine was $135 for 1180 points earned betwen Oct 5 and Oct 30.

I just looked at my bonus point accruals for September and when I deposited $1000 for the Sept Bonus Reload, I was given 1000 Party Points.

I wonder if I can deposit $1000, get the 1000 or so Party points, and have 180 points left to clear to get the $135.

Sounds pretty good if that is the case.

Nope that wont work. You need regular points and depositing gives you bonus points.

Also I got $30 for 900 regular points. So I think that comes out to a 150x playthrough at 1/2.

900 hands / $30 = 30x if it was raked hands. You need 5 raked hands per point at 1/2.
30 * 5 = 150x playthrough.

Is that right?

I wonder what the algorithm is to determine which bonus you get, maybe we could figure it out based on:
1) type of bonus
2) current funds in account
3) hands played over the last month
4) rake generated over the last month
5) limit played

Any other parameters? It would be interesting to see how they are computing it. I am not on my poker computer right now, but I will check when I can.

I wonder if the type of bonus is related to whether your DOOM SWITCH is turned on or off.

BigBiceps
10-05-2005, 03:11 PM
For 3/6 you earn 12 points per 20 raked hands in a day. Note, it is regular points so if you get bonus points for playing during certain hours, those don't count.

So that is 3666 raked hands. Note that any fraction of 20 raked hands in a day you don't get any points for those.

I can't find anything to clear it up any further, but if it is what it seems, it is really bad for NL players. NL players get 4 points per 20 raked hands. That means 14350 raked hands for your 550 bucks.

HoldEmKillah
10-05-2005, 03:46 PM
I just read on party's site that all NL&PL tables you get 4 pts for every 20 raked hands. So, for me, that's 14,850 RAKED hands needed to clear the $530...no thanks. I'd get $1100 in rakeback from my other skin. They probably threw me this bone since I used to play a ton on party before I moved. Now I only bonus whore there (when it's worth my time).

I play limit exclusively from .5/1 to 2/4 mostly full ring with some 6 max thrown in and the occassional $10+1 SNG. 90% of my play during any month at party is during their reload bonus.

I still don't know how they think I am going to do 2170 points for $170. Maybe I owe them a lot of rake?

OldLearner
10-05-2005, 04:24 PM
I got the Regular Points email and I am a NL player so the bonus isn't very attractive.

I play Party

- during the deposit bonus periods
- for SNG qualifiers into their big weekend tourneys

I play my rakeback skin (Euro) the rest of the time.

I thought the vig I give them in the SNG satellites would keep me from being labelled a bonuswhore.

Who knows if they used a bonus selection algorithm any more sophisticated than every 3rd account gets this bonus.....

It's 4 points for every 20 raked, right, so you'd need 383 sets of 20 = 7660 raked hands.

And that's only if you don't have any "spare" raked hands in any session. Remember that you don't get partial points for playing, say, 30 raked hands; those extra 10 hands go down the memory hole. So unless you time your play extremely well, it's probably much more than either of us are estimating.

10-05-2005, 04:43 PM
I was just offered $215 for 4500 points. At that rate I will have to play somewhere along the lines of 15000 raked hands five or take. Yeah right thats going to happen. Oh well. Anyone know if the BONUSOCT code works for everyone?

I was excited about getting home and seeing if I got a bonus offer, but after reading this thread, Im almost dreading it. I wonder if these bonuses were based on peoples winrates. The more successful players given less appealing deals, while less successful players getting easier bonuses. Just a thought, I could see the business sense in them doing something like that.

[/ QUOTE ]
There's no way this can be true. Everyone on 2p2 wins like 6BB/100 at whatever limit they play.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think it may be how often you play on the site and what stakes. They seem to attract people who play less with the % deposit, and people who played there semi-regularly with the stupid point system. Also, it looks like the higher-stakes players got worse bonuses. The silver member who got like 4.5k to clear $160, and I wonder what stakes the guy who got 7.5k to clear $185 plays.

I've been playing only on Party (Yes, I'm a moron) and I was offered 9235 points for $755 in cash.

I ran my PT numbers from last month thru PokerGrapher RB calculator and basically it works out to they are offering me about 24-25% RB if I exceed last month's number by about 10%.

That doesn't seem bad to me, considering Party has always been 100% reliable with instant Neteller cashouts on demand, and Neteller to my checking account is reliably 2 days or less.

Since it's important to me right now to keep my bankroll tiny and accessible, this looks like a reasonable alternative to tying up a bunch of cash at Eurobet (where I've heard cashouts can be a hassle) and the uncertainty of an affiliate for RB payout.

And then there's the whole BBJ tables thing...

I'll probably try it out this month.

Empire cashouts go just as fast as Party's, Eurobet's slow because you're not going through Pay Pro, they have their own system that takes around 24 hours.

I don't know if the bubble's about to burst. People who actively look for reload bonuses (or use them for that matter) are very few. It might actually make Party a bigger fishfest, as bonuswhores won't be clogging it up.

I definetly know none of my friends look for bonuses, they just play on party, so getting that "140000 points for $40" will look like a great deal to them.

I got the worst offer I've seen so far: $35 for 1275 points.

I'm kind of ticked about this, so I sent Party the following email:

[ QUOTE ]
This month I received an offer to get $35 in exchange for earning 1275 Party Points. I normally do not earn this many points in a month, so this offer is worthless to me.

However, it has come to my attention that many other PartyPoker customers received regular reloads instead (using the TAKEIT or BONUSOCT codes). This year, I have played approximately 70,000 hands at your site, making me a loyal customer. I would like to know why I wasn't offered a reload bonus and whether there will be a general reload offer later this month.

Thank you.

I think that will work. Actually, you should get 1000 points for each deposit 500 or above according to there website /images/graemlins/smile.gif

***Edit--oops, now I realize the difference between "regular points" and bonus points.

My offer of 4775 points for $220 is worth much less than rakeback for me.

Not usually, nope. 1275 points = 319 sets of 20 raked hands = 6380 raked hands. At my level, that would be about 13,000 total hands. (Technically, it would be a few thousand more than that, because I'd invariably waste some raked hands by not playing them exactly in increments of 20).

If I played every single hand this month exclusively at Party, I *might* be able to play that many hands. For $35 I'm not really interested in finding out.

In response to your e-mail, we would like to inform you that currently we do not

This is false! and bad business!

Why would I be told no bonuses are on yor site after I have told you several of
my peers have shared their experinaces with me.

Here they are:

Use the Bonus Code "BONUSOCT" when you make your next deposit before 12-OCT-05
23:59 EST and get 20% extra (Max $100) in your bonus account. Restrictions
apply.

Use the Bonus Code "MKMYDAY" when you make your next deposit before 12-OCT-05
23:59 EST and get 30% extra (Max $100) in your bonus account. Restrictions
apply.

Use the Bonus Code "TAKEIT" when you make your next deposit before 12-OCT-05
23:59 EST and get 25% extra (Max $200) in your bonus account. Restrictions
apply.

In fact here is a url link to the bonus you are offering
http://www.partypoker.com/offers/deposit_25_100_bonus_takeit.htm

"YOURCHANCE" for 15% up to $100

This I find very upsetting. Not so much as to the fact as I didn't recieve a
bonus promotion but to the fact Party Poker contacts me with dribble claiming
there is no bonuses on their site after I have presented facts thus explaing my
inqurey.

So again If possible would really enjoy a bonus PROMOTION! THAT YOU HAVE
GOING ON THIS MONTH!

If I none of these several promotions party poker has going for many costomers
will apply to my account then I guess we can just go ahead and cancel my account
with party poker.

Dear Player,

Thank you for contacting us.

I understand your concern and apologize for the inconvenience faced by you.
However, would like to inform you that these bonus promotions have been offered
to select players chosen by our marketing team. PartyPoker.com offers special
promotions to different sets of players from time to time. You will be informed
of any promotion available to you via email.

You are a valuable player for us and we would like you to continue playing at
our site. We would like to offer you a 20% bonus upto a maximum of $100.00 on
your next deposit. This would be a release restricted bonus.

You are required to play certain number of raked hands for the bonus to be
released to your Real Money account. Once you make your next deposit please feel
free to get back to us, so that we can issue the bonus to your bonus account.

You can always check the status of your bonus and how many raked hands you have
played by clicking on the 'Cashier' option on our Lobby, and then on 'Bonus
Account'.

A raked hand is any hand in which a rake (house drop) is taken out of the pot. A
player is considered to have played a raked hand if he or she has contributed 1
cent or more in rake in that hand.

To accumulate raked hands, just participate in hands (any live game, any limit)
where a rake is taken. The buy-in' for tournaments does not contribute to your
accumulated raked hands. Furthermore, as there is no rake taken in tournament
hands, you cannot obtain raked hands through tournaments. The amount of rake
collected appears as a small chip stack next to the dealer tray.

For more information about our rake structure please check out the following URL
from our website:

I got an offer of $125 for 1450 points. I'm pretty much just a low-limit player, so this means at a minimum:

@ .5/1 or 1/2
(1450 points) * (20 hands/4 points) ~= 7250 raked hands

@ 2/4
(1450 points) * (20 hands/6 points) ~= 4835 raked hands

So even in the best case, I'm looking at 2.58 cents per raked hand. No thanks.

Maybe I'll complain via email and see if they cave and give me a more "traditional" bonus...

Party is looking at regular players' past history over the last few months and basically offering you a rakeback of somewhere between 20-25% if you reach a target level of activity that is similar to what you have done in the past.

Your number is higher because you have played more at Party than most who post here. Most who post here play on a skin with RB and only whore the Party reload bonus, or they just don't play much on the Party network (AND whore the Party reload bonus).

For someone who plays a lot at Party already, this month's bonus is a good deal if you are going to play that much anyway. You can estimate how many hands it will take by looking at the party points section of the Party Account site:

Obviously this sucks compared to the free $100 or $200 for a couple thousand hands, but it looks like good marketing sense from Party: A loyalty rewards program that actually rewards customers proportional to their value, AND incentivizes customers to reach a target level.

And I wasn't going to say it, but it probably only applies to a few players and they'll probably do the math anyway: The high volume 'semi-pro' players might want to look into the BBJ tables and see if it makes sense to regularly do a few hands at Paaaarty BBJ and get the Rewards bonus to offset their loss in RB.

ummm, in that case don't know what to say. I've been playing there a lot and my offer was similar to yours.

Perhaps back when you DID play at Party you played a lot (your number looks like about 15-20K hands of $2/4) and they are trying to entice you to come back.

Either that or they got you confused with someone else?

10-06-2005, 04:19 PM
I got the Octbonus code for 20% up to 100$

I haven't played there in a couple of months and when I did I just whored and left.

Seems odd

YUP, I did, forget the details, but it was like 1100 points for $80. I have zero dollars in my account, and have had zero dollars in my account for about two weeks.

Login and check your account. Looks like another round of account specific codes. I received MKMYDAY, 30%, $100, 7x.

[/ QUOTE ]

This offer just showed up in my email. I've never played a hand there without a bonus and I play anywhere from 2/4-5/10 full limit. I also have referred several friends to the site, not sure if that could have anything to do with it.

How are people crunching the numbers to compare it to rakeback. Everyway I do, it comes up almost even. I need 7250 to get 420. I play 3/6 6max.

4275 points / 9 points per 20 raked hands (at 2/4 level for me) * 20 raked hands = 9500 raked hands

I never said I thought that and I am not delusional.

I did say that 5630 points for $640, and that my personal offer for $755 worked out to about that.

To know for sure what % you are getting you need to figure if you are earning points at the blue, silver, or gold rate.

If 4000+ points for 120 is your personal offer and you are at the blue rate then I'd say Party screwed up and you might get some satisfaction if you emailed them. Seems like I saw further up in this thread that somebody got a standard 20% up to $100 bonus in response to his complaint.

Can anybody confirm that none of these bonuses work unless you were given the popup for the bonus?

I initally didn't receive an offer. So I sent an e-mail about how they need to offer incentives to their high volume players to keep them. I explained that I have accounts at many other sites where I can get bonuses, and I can make an extra $10/hr from these, so Party should offer me something if they want me to play there.

Today I got the YOURCHANCE bonus code offer.

They seem to be staggering their offers (which I completely approve of - keep the tables loose).

So your bonus is probably not due to your e-mail.
