Even though it was on sale 3 weeks ago, the 2001FP is back and better than ever for $467.40 shipped.

Saw this deal on www.spoofee.com (http://www.spoofee.com), and it links directly to the Dell page.

Great buy for anyone that missed out a few weeks ago.

Excellent. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

FYI, the coupon is $60 off purchases of $500 to $1000 and expires tomorrow 10/06.

Just got one for $505 shipped with a donation to the govenors reelection campaign fund. Living in Texas has its downside. /images/graemlins/grin.gif

Anyone ever use the coupon for two separate orders placed a day apart. I'm thinking I want two while I can get the price.

How long do they take to ship it?

They say 1 to 5 days, but it really depends on where you live. If you live in TX, you might get it tomorrow if you order it today. I live in NY, and I got it about 5 business days after I ordered.

I'm gonna jump on this. But I'm an idiot. How do I use fatwallet? Do I just click on the "dell" link on the fatwallet page where the listing is then go through the purchase process on the dell page, adding in the coupon code at checkout?

Also, does 'expires' mean that I can still make the purchase on 10/6? Clearly, I am an idiot /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I don't know about Fatwallet, but I use Ebates, which is pretty much the same thing (I think).

On Ebates, I sign in, then get linked to the Dell website THROUGH ebates, and it automatically logs any purchases I make, and puts 3% into my ebates account. I get paid every 6 months from the Ebates account.

So you can get 3% cash back by signing up at one of these sites?

I don't wanna get too ahead of myself. I 4-table 3/6NL 6max. So the plan is the same but to add 2 full ring 3/6NL tables. Eventually I'll be 80-tabling 50/100NL /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Right now I can 6-table on my 1680x1050 LCD laptop. I haven't yet tried 8-tabling on this one screen.

I used to 8-table with my laptop and CRT but I recently lost my CRT (old bastard!)

I am really trying to evaluate the "EV" of dishing out the big bucks for a 2001FP or just getting a 17 " LCD and dealing with some overlap.

Any thoughts?

For a long time I was convinced that the 2001fp love fest on 2+2 was more about status than anything else. I finally broke down and got one, thinking that I'd use my old CRT along with it and 8 table.
Well, my 2001fp arrived and it is so great that I can't even bring myself to turn on the CRT. The thing is just great. I highly recommend it. If you can afford it, you will not be disappointed.

Appreciate the response.

The only other concern I have is the set up.

My laptop is on a smallish desk with two speaker columns about the size of the laptop right (a little taller) next to it... I have a shelf on top of my speakers... think I could stick the FP right above them and have a horizontal set up with my laptop?

sounds reasonable to me. The stand that it comes with is pretty versitile so you could come up with a lot of solutions as far as space is concerned.
