View Full Version : button min raises, sb folds, BB?

Hypothetical but all too common situation:

Somewhere from four to seven players left. Somewhere from level 3 to level 5.

Hero is BB

All fold to the button, who raises the minimum (lets say blinds are 25/50, button raises to 100).

Button and Hero each have about 1000 infront of them.

Assuming the sb folds, with what hands would you call this minraise from the button? Ax, any pair? Any two cards above 10? Keep in mind you are getting 3.5 to 1 odds, but will be first to act the whole hand.

Thanks for any and all ideas. Sorry if this has been asked before, please direct me to a previous thread if there has been one.

there is a HUGE difference between level 3 and 5, but at low levels I like to call this because of the small blind folding and the cheap cost of getting into the hand. You should play very tight after the flop though and fold to any bet if you haven't hit a flop that favors you.

All of this being said these situations are highly read dependent and if you sense your opponent as a weak tight type you might want to bet any ragged flop.

PS WATCH OUT FOR AA KK from min raisers further off the button
