In my first hand at the table, I went all in preflop with whatever and won 6,700. I am trying to build my playchip stack on UB and play in some serious games.

I was going to leave the table so I could take three-2,000 shots at the same 2000max Omaha tables.

But I was delt 44 and 98s. Would you have called the the all in after 2 bigger stacks already went all-in along with about 6 other stacks of varying sizes? I liked my chances of getting the 25k+ in the pot.

someone move this post.

Easy call, considering you can get more play chips whenever you want.

With two quality holdem hands like 44 and 89 suited you can't possibly consider a fold. The trick is to get the other stacks to come in behind you, so pause a moment before you call so they don't put you on a monster like trips or 4 to a straight flush.

Hope this helped.

And good luck moving up to the serious play games.

I would play very very tight here and then try a good bluff, to see if you can get them to lay down their cards. Nothing, and I mean nothing, gets me angrier than losing my whole play stack to a suckout.
