MP3 opens in HJ. Although this is only his second orbit he's been raising a fair amount PF (25% so far) and seems to like to open raise so I suspect he's stealing. Unknown button coldcalls, I complete in the BB with K/images/graemlins/spade.gif9/images/graemlins/club.gif.

I bet, HJ calls, Button raises, I 3 bet, HJ folds, Button calls.

I bet, HJ raises, I call.

I was worried he'd raise the turn with something like 98 or even 9x looking for a free showdown.

i think if you call the turn you pretty much have to call the river, also i notice that the HJ folds on the flop, but then raises the turn

button? didnt seem to be on a draw here, so i dont really think the 6 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif matters, my guess is if you are beat, you were beat on the turn, im not really sure what the correct line is, but i think you should make the descision of whether you are showing this down or not on the turn and the scary river shouldnt affect it, i probly woulda called down, but folding the turn might be right

edit: if it was HJ who raised turn im def calling down given your read

i think i'd play it the same. i don't feel any need to call the river simply because i called the turn. OESD and the unlikely runner-runner /images/graemlins/diamond.gif all make sense here.

I'd fold pre-flop after the button's cold-call. If it was HU I'd defend.

Why not just call for one more on the river after calling the turn raise?

wait. i just reread the hand. HJ folded the flop, so is the turn HJ aka "the button"?
