Was privliged (?) to be able to play at the same 10-20 table as the Suburban Poker Man during my monthly trip down to IN.
While we never tangled over 8 whole hours, I witnessed his power.
After playing two hands in 4 hours, the SPM stood, raised his hands to the heavens, and prayed aloud "Please poker gods, give me pocket aces and let them stand up."
The cards are dealt. and SPM raises in early position. Surely it is a only crafty move... but I'll fold my 94o anyway. After some callers, the flop is rags. He bets the flop.. and the turn.
When no one calls. He amazes the table -- showing black Aces.
And the boat rocked for hours from the aftershocks of his power.
Really.. ask anyone.
