Personally, I skipped the $33s and moved straight to the $55s. I honestly think they are easier. There is this misconception by players moving up limits that you have to be a very good player to go from 800 starting chips to 1000 chips, so a lot of good players don't make that move and are happy to stay at the $33s. If you don't have the bankroll for the $55s yet, 8-table the $22s if you haven't been doing so already until you do. Just my opinion.

Anybody who says the 33's are harder than the 55's is smoking ass-crack. Anyone who says he can make more money playing 22's than the 33's on the same number of tables sucks at math. The 33's are cake.

Actually, he could be like 2% ROI at the 22s but losing at the $33s...

OK... almost anybody. I stand corrected. Finer points aside, there's a lot of "I can beat the 22's for 20% but I can only make 5% at the 33's, so I'm staying down," posted here. I think that's wrong. There are a few more good players at the 33's for sure, but not enough to offset the 50% increase in payout for anyone who can beat the 22's for any decent amount. FWIW my ROI was like 6.7% over 500 22's and 16.5% over 500 33's.

people call you on the bubble with EVERYTHING. If i had a buck for everytime I was big stack with 2 other mediums and one uber small and the medium stacks called me with 33 or Q9 or some [censored] cuz "I am an idiot that pushes every hand" I would be rich... or back at the 55s where people actually can figure ou thtat the small stack only has 2 bbs and is going out.

Being used to the 55s I suck at the 33s cuz Im way too aggressive on the bubble. I haven't adjusted to being called by 33 by a medium stack and i have a big stack when there is some micro stack just waiting to get blinded off and this is killing me

I definitely agree. If you are a mindless pushbotter then the 55s will defintely be harder. If you are good at poker then the 200 extra chips will make a HUGE difference. I feel like making a post about the importance of the extra 200 just because it is so overlooked in the forum.

That probably explains my view... but still, anytime some idiot calls some other idiot with 33 and 55, my EV goes up. Whatever.

This might seem like a stupid comment but what about a 33 dollar buy in appeals to the casual player? I mean if your looking for excitement of an occasional win doesnt it make sense that 100 is enough to excite you, or to a richer person 250.... but why 150. Just seems like an unnatural bet for a losing player. I think I read a similar point on here at one point that also mentioned that good players might see 33 as a neccessary bridge to 55s. Because I would imagine the 55s are hard, maybe good players get clogged at the 33s.
