...between the Dell 2001FP and the Samsung Syncmaster 204t right now... like, 10 bucks (this is including applicable shipping/handling/taxes, of which Dell is higher). The Syncmaster is coming from www.techonweb.com (http://www.techonweb.com) which has fine reviews.

So, you pay about the same for either one, which one do YOU purchase today?

That's going to be a tough choice. The Samsung has a higher contrast ratio (700:1), giving blacker blacks making movie watching and photo editing/browsing a better experience. gaming too. The Dell only has 500:1 contrast ratio but I think it's got more inputs and has USB ports. Also I believe you can buy a speaker attachment for the Dells. Both have a 16ms response time which is good for the games. resolution is at 1600x1200 for both which means you can quad table easily. Personally, I'd get the Samsung, but I _am_ biased as I own two Samsung 213T monitors and just absolutely love them. Gaming's a little weak, but I'm at 25ms response :/

Why not wait until Dell has their 2405FPW (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/ProductDetail.aspx?sku=320-4221&c=us&cat=snp&category_id=6198&cs=19&l=en&Page =productlisting.aspx) on sale again? I've seen it as low as $740 at techbargains. (http://www.techbargains.com/dellcoupons.cfm)
