View Full Version : Two pair getting pushed hard

Table is full ring $5/10 NL on bodog. I have only been sitting for about 12 hands and haven't played any past the flop.
Hero is BB, Villain is button.
Hero is dealt AJ o/s.
There are two limpers and the SB completes for a pot of $40.

Flop is AKJ rainbow.

Hero bets $25, limper folds, Villain raises to $100, and SB folds. Hero thinks and calls.

Pot is $240.

Turn is 7 and eliminates backdoor flush. Hero checks, Villain bets $125.

At this point I have several questions:

- How do you interpret this bet and how do you play the turn accordingly?
- If you don't fold, how do you proceed from here?
- Assuming a meaningless river, what is the line?
- What hand range, if any, can you give Villain at this point?

Stack sizes?

Bet more on the flop, $25 into $40 is pretty weak here.

No reads on villian I take it? That's a shame.

I think that the only hand that we're behind here is QT, as I can't see villian limping in with any of the big pairs or AK on the button.

His turn bet is rather strange, and awfully weak. Without a read, I typically assume that this means weakness.

Since weakness, in this case, means that they're probably drawing at 4 outs at most, I think that I like a call here and a lead on the river for about 1/2-3/4 the pot.
