I see the Celtics are ranked 21st (http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/powerranking?season=2006&week=-1) in ESPN's power rankings. Why would any Boston fan be more excited about the C's than the Sox?

When was the last time the Celtics won a title? When was the last time the Celtics were actually good instead of decent? (no, winning the weakest division in the East doesn't count)

i am legitimately more excited for this young Cs bunch that should have one year with 43-35 wins, but after that, i see them being a perennial 50+ win team.

Also, they have won 16 championships in the same time the Sox have won 1. ROR. Plus they dont need to have the second biggest in their payroll to do it, they actually have a great GM in danny ainge, rather than one who spends 40 mil on edgar rentashortstop.

I don't think there is any number of superbowls that patriots could win to make up for boston winning the world series last year or being in the playoffs this year. of course, i don't like basketball very much at all, so i guess i didn't answer your question.
