Yup, go for the sidepot. Your pair of nines is very good against a random hand.

As the larger stack here, go for the sidepot.

Alot of opponents don't know what they're doing here, they take your checks for weakness and bet you off on the turn or river with no pair and you lose out on both the sidepot and on eliminating the other guy.

The other guy being eliminated isn't as big a concern for you, you still have good equity if he survives with queens while you bet out the other guy who mighta spiked an ace on the river.
