2.5 x BB??

Are there any situations LATE in a tournament where you would expect to get played with if you raised 2.5x the BB instead of 3x the BB. Meaning are there any frequent cases where someone would call in the former situation but fold in the latter? As it is a situation in which one raises a lot, I wonder if both raises would have the same effect? Any opinions?

There might be a few more suited handed or connectors I would call if you only raised to 2.5xBB. Of course stack sizes, other callers, limpers and position would make a difference as well. The Blinds have better odds to call with smaller raises.
