I apologize for what is probably an annoying question, but does anyone have a link to a good example/explanation for starting hands? The search function does not work. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Thanks.

I play almost any hand where all four cards combine well with eachother and have good possibilities to make a nut hand, and not second best... Mostly high suited and connected hands. Double suited is the best of course.

It's difficult to find hands that are big favourites preflop in Omaha. Also, in Omaha, position is much more important...

You just need a lot of things going for you. Possible straights with connecting cards, pairs, the higher the better (AA and KK are really good; 77 isn't worth much), and suits, preferably double suited, and preferably with an ace or king of your suit. JJ73 unsuited is trash. KKQJ is very strong, as is 9876.

Cloutier and McEvoy's Omaha book has good examples. Also try this (http://www.cardplayer.com/poker_magazine/archives/?a_id=12941&m_id=46)
