villain has vpip of 50/14.29 and seems a little loose postflop (he is also quite aggressive postflop)

I raise to 20 preflop. Bet 30 on flop. Bet 80 on turn, and fold to raise. He'll let you know if he has big hand there. As you played it, the river is player dependent.

One thing to think about, which you already know, a lot of these superloose guys arent total donks. Many are older guys who've been playing forever. They have money, like to play hands, read hands fairly well and can make decisions.

No question, most are losing players, but PT stats can be deceiving, and they collect some big pots from twoplustwoers who underestimate them.

I suppose it doesn't matter to anybody. But does the fact that villain showed down KJ make you think that I may have been correct to call this river?

Why did you check-call the turn? Now you don't really know if you are ahead or beind. I'd bet the turn and fold to a raise. As it played, calling the river is really close, but I don't play a lot of short handed. I have a feeling, short handed players say calling the river here is pretty easy.
