stretching ears w/tapers for plugs

i tried googling the answer for this, but at what gauge will your ear holes not close up. i'm at 8g right now, i'd like to get to 4g but in actuality i might not for when it's time for my professional life.

My ears have closed up just fine and I was at a 2 guage. I would not recommend much beyond that point. Don't be to eager to go up in sizes, because if you tear it it will scar at the size you have it at now and look like crap if you take them out down the road for your professional life.
