We were in west L.A. visiting the wife's kin a couple weeks ago. Heading to the car in front of a deli, we were doing the 'swing' move with my 2 y/o daughter: walking on either side of her and swinging her in front of us every third step or so.

Loading her into the car seat, I look up to see that Joni Mitchell is sitting in the car next to us, watching my girl and smiling.

I just can't get over it. /images/graemlins/heart.gif /images/graemlins/heart.gif /images/graemlins/heart.gif

You are a braying jackass.

To the OP: Congratulations on your little girl's blessing, though I'm not sure what good fortune means to a two-year-old. Chocolate chip cookies?

I think the OPost is one of the nicest things I've seen in this forum. It made me smile /images/graemlins/grin.gif (even though I don't love Joni Mitchell)

Thanks for the surprisingly warm reception to the post.

Part of the reason I love the situation so much is that Joni Mitchell was a large part of the soundtrack of my college years.

...and the painted ponies go up and down
we're captive on the carousel of time
we can't return we can only look
behind from where we came
and go round and round and round in the circle game

What a female singer/songwriter would sound like if her parents were Bob Dylan and Neil Young.

That probably doesn't help.

If any of you Zeppelin fans read 'Hammer of the Gods' you will see that III sounds the way it does because Page and Plant were listening to a lot of Joni's music at the time.
