View Full Version : New to Omaha high, overplayed top set?

I recently started playing PLOH shorthanded on Party. I know you are supposed to only draw to the nuts in Omaha and not slowplay big hands. Other than that, I am pretty much a noob. Does there happen to be a HH converter for Omaha?

My read was that the PF raiser had an overpair (after he lead the flop for full pot) and that the coldcaller could have had a wide range... from a flush draw to a straight draw to bottom two. I checkraised full pot to protect my hand and to make it a big mistake for the nut flush draw to call without straight outs. Is this the correct move or is there a better line for a hand like this?

If the board wasn't so draw happy I would smoothcall or raise less(if you often bet less than pot), but given the straight and flush potential I would play it the same way
