Sorry if this is wrong forum, but don't know where else to inquire about this.

A) Anyone know cheap airfare to get to Ireland?
B) Who else is going to this event? I'm a newb w/ live play, and dunno what i'm doing really. (Not the poker, just getting settled there, dunno how simple it is)

Any help appreciated, (and sorry if this is wrong forum)

Thanks,

Ray

www.expedia.com (http://www.expedia.com) If you can't get cheap flights to dublin direct, try flying into london or another european city and flying ryanair into dublin. Most flights from london/paris type places are about 40 euros return with tax to dublin.

Or just go 6 hours early to the airport and play poker on the wireless network the whole time.

theres a bus u can take for about 5 pounds from olympia staiton.. to go from belfast to dublin.. bout 2 hour trip on bus. not bad...

i stayed at "kelly hotel" in dublin.. i'd recomend it. 10 euros more than some hostels for 100x better accom. (HOT WATER)

dont put all ur money in euros.. put a few bucks in pounds for your short time in belfast.. it sucks exchanging money..

europe is expensive.. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

Not quite sure I've ever heard of an Olympia Station in Belfast and if you can still get to Dublin for a fiver you MUST let me know who to buy it off /images/graemlins/wink.gif

But you are right, there will be no problem getting from Belfast to Dublin, there are regular buses and trains. The lates bus offer I saw included:

Belfast direct to Dublin Airport or Dublin City (Busaras)

£4.80 (7 euros) - special 6am single
£6.90 (10 euros) - standard single
£10.30 (15 euros) - standard return

so it's not going to cost you a fortune to get there, the train is more expensive but is quicker and arguably more comfortable (train is about 2 hours, bus is about 2.5 hours).

For hotels etc, there are a few listed on the Merrion casino's website but you can get a fuller listing on the likes of www.dublinhotels.com (http://www.dublinhotels.com)

Hope this helps

Family are then visiting dublin the weekend after so i'm going to wait around for them. SO! since i will have 5 days to kill inbetween i shall see somewhere else in ireland, where? giant's causeway in northern ireland is a cool half-day trip. i think it's about a 30 min drive NW or belfast on the coast but I could be wrong. I know it's on the very north coast of ireland.
