4-handed. Villain is a good player and aggro pf & post flop. My bet sizes were too small right? Effective stacks $1000. Comments on all streets pls.

I think you need to raise more preflop, make a bigger bet on the flop and check the turn.

after you call this, you must call any river bet, otherwise fold on turn. Make your decisions ahead of time yo.

Yeah, check turn too. JJ2r you are probably vs 2-3 outs, or are rooting for 2 outs.

If I think I have the best hand do I raise or do I just check call any amount on the river. If I call $75 more on the turn and he pots the river do I still call?

check the turn. Get to the river.

If u call the turn raise and fold the river, you spew chips. And if you think you have the best hand on the river, you lose money every time you raise the river. Get to showdown.

But u do have one more option: if u raise the turn, u might get KK/AA to fold: depending how weak your opponent is. If your opponent is good, he probably won't fold w/those stacks.

If i think im ahead...would a raise be bad on the turn to try to get a easier river decision.? Or is that spewwing/pointless

Raising the turn folds out all the hands you're ahead of. Just calling also allows him to fire again with a weaker hand.

Hero folds to a set of 9s.

Alright the reason I asked if I raise the turn was to get him to fold if he was completely bluffing so I wouldn't face a tough river decision. I ended up folding to the river bet but he was nice enough to show 4c2c.

this is really bad idea. how much are you going to 3 bet to when you aren't even willing to call 200 on the river?

this blocking 1 street earlier crap just sucks unless if you are very deep and you think he can push the river on a bluff that you can't call.

That river bet was weak after that turn check raise - no way I'm folding river.
