Party 2/4. I'm dealt J /forums/images/icons/spade.gif T /forums/images/icons/spade.gif in MP. UTG raises, UTG+1 calls, I coldcall (there are three posters behind me), one poster calls, SB calls and BB folds. Five to the flop.

Flop - J /forums/images/icons/diamond.gif A /forums/images/icons/club.gif 4 /forums/images/icons/club.gif

It gets checked around.

Turn - J /forums/images/icons/heart.gif

SB bets, UTG raises, I pause to think and finally coldcall, SB calls.

River - 9 /forums/images/icons/spade.gif

UTG bets, I call, SB calls.

What was I thinking?

What did UTG and SB have? Did I win?

What was I thinking?

-I have no idea. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif I would have 3-bet on the turn.

What did UTG and SB have?

-UTG--AT
-SB--A2

Did I win?

-Of course you won.

Don't you find UTG's preflop raise, flop check (on an ace-high board) and turn raise awfully suspect?

I came very close to folding on the turn thinking that UTG must have AA.

Am I nuts?

Homer,

Excellent point. I would have thought someone had a boat.
I have a friend who will raise prelop, and then check the flop if he hits his set.

Some players only look at their own cards without considering what their opponents might hold.

I would have played the hand similiarly expecting to see AJ or AA.

Good hand....
