how best to play early rounds?

After reading some outstanding thoughts such as The Don's, and some not so outstanding but still worthwhile thoughts which leaves me unfit to tie any shoelaces, I ask about my early play.

My modus operandi early in 11s and 22s, is to build a few chips by trapping. I do this with drawing hands only, not AA, KK or QQ, but pairs JJ down and AK and AQ. The blinds are not worth taking, imo, despite a possible 5% increase in winning percentage.

I'll limp AK in the SB. I'll call a raise on the button. I'm just looking to snag a fish and fry him. Once we get higher blinds, I'll switch over to the usual aggressive game we all like to play. I know this wouldn't work at higher levels, but the fish like to jump into nets at the lower levels.

While this is nothing brilliantly original, it's not something I often see discussed. Everybody probably does it. I'm just actively doing it. It's my goal going in for the first three or four levels.

Wrong?

TIA,

CJ
