Button is 31/25/1.5 in 2000 hands
MP is 59/20/1.8 in 750 hands

No reads, it's my 1st hand at the table.

Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter (http://www.selachian.com/tools/bisonconverter/hhconverter.cgi)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 8/images/graemlins/spade.gif, A/images/graemlins/spade.gif.
1 fold, MP calls, Button raises, 1 fold, Hero calls, MP calls.

Flop: (6.50 SB) T/images/graemlins/club.gif, 7/images/graemlins/club.gif, 5/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (4 players)
Hero checks, MP checks, Button checks.

Turn: (3.25 BB) A/images/graemlins/diamond.gif (4 players)
So what's my plan? Check-call, bet-fold or bet-call?

Bet-Call would be my line.

So you're calling down hoping he has a worse A?

I don't get this. Is that a joke, or did you play 2000 hands with him during your session at that table?

My line would be bet/fold. If button calls you on the turn, check/call the river. I'm not sure if he's checking the flop with anything other than a monster or two broadways.
