I'm in New York (Times Square to be specific) atm, and I'm only staying there for this night. Anyone know where I can find a casino or cardroom nearby?


Need to fulfill a gambling urge ;-)

Go to Port Authority and hope on a bus to Atlantic City. You'll be at the Taj Mahal in 2 hrs (an amazing cardroom). Buses leave on the half hour and casinos are open 24/7. Good luck if you go, but be careful at Port Authority, it is a little seedy (GO WITH A FRIEND). If you have a car, u can drive it. Otherwise, no legal rooms in NYC. Go to www.greyhound.com (http://www.greyhound.com) for bus times.

Uh, I'd forget about it. AC is the closest, and its 2.5 hours each way. If you really want to go, I'd take Academy from the Port Authority. Contrary to Jeff's comments, I don't think the Port Authority is that seedy.

I had a bad experience there once, maybe they cleaned it up since then. BTW, I may be at Taj this Saturday playing some 10-20...if you're around, maybe we'll play some hands together. I'll let you know.
