What pets do you own?

I have two ferrets (have had them for 2 years). They freeroam (no cage) and the apartment is ferretproofed.

My roomate in college had a ferret. This thing crapped more than any other animal I have ever seen. It [censored] so much that you would clean his cage and then a half hour later there would be two huge piles of [censored] (about the same size of the ferret) again. I found this remarkable.

Is this an exception or a rule for these things?

P.S. My roomate was not a good pet owner so it is highly possible he fed the thing 5x more than he probably should have.

I have no pets. I have an aversion to feces.

I had a ferret in college. It stunk. They get pretty nasty when they get old, my buddy has two - one of them is an albino and it's almost completely bald. It's the ugliest little animal ever.

I was thinkig about getting a pig as a pet, a nice tender one. Them make it eat like 50 pounds of food a day untill it gets to about 1200 pounds then it will be perfect! I'll screw when I want to remmember my Ex....

The dogs would have the rabbits if got the chance, the cat scratched the dog a few times and that resolved their differences.

WOW! So it sounds like its pretty normal and since my roomate fed them probably 5x more than he should have (which is not out of the question since he feeds himself 5x more than he should) then that would explain the greater frequency.

It was still a pretty cool pet when he let it run around the apartment.

Very high metabolism type animals. Naturally always do a lot of moving. So they have to eat a lot, thus comes all the poop.

We have one dog and one kitten

Pearl is a two year old Olde English Bulldog (think a boxer crossed with a lab). She's about 90 pounds, mostly white with black spots and brindle eyepatches.

George is a mixbreed domestic shorthair (she looks partly Abasynnian). He weighs about 5 pounds. And routinely kicks Pearl's a$$.

Looks like this Thread is 50% Golden Retrievers.
Mine is almost 2 and named Sophie. She is insane. I was hoping that she might grow out of it...
Does this mean I shouldn't ever bother spackling the huge holes in my walls?

Still, she's very nice. I just wish I was renting! (The condo, not the dog, yo).

At least she doesn't ATTACk me when I walk around the house like my wacko cat Barlow.

I shudder to think of the damage my future children will inflict! You should too... /images/graemlins/crazy.gif
