The reason why I love limit games:
I'm learning. I want to be able to win at limit games.
Because by the time I go to vegas, I'll have to play limit...

what the heck are you doing raising preflop with pocket deuces?

Because I can keep betting and they'll fold. It works almost every time. I keep betting and rasing with pockets and they just fold. Strange but true. You'll believe me if you try it. 6 handed table at UB. I've won a lot this way. This time that guy got me big time... I thought he had double pair aces. Can't believe he called my raise and then bets on the flop with nothing...

he called the pre-flop bet because he had sooted connectors and was getting 3 to 1, probably 3.7 to 1, pot odds - you could argue that wasn't enough for him, but sooted connectors have a huge following

once he flopped a 13-outer draw he was there to the river, as would you have been

betting the flop is an accepted strategy to create the pot needed so he could call a turn bet if he didn't hit his flush or straight, and to build the pot in case he did

the turn bet was a semi-bluff using the Ace as a scare-card, but he was also getting very good pot odds for his 2.5 to 1 big draw

he was "lucky" to hit his straight, but if he had hit the flush you would probably have accepted the beat without too much thought

i'm not sure you should have raised his river bet

bad luck, hung

So why not just keep betting and raising with any two cards whenever it takes your fancy? If they always fold, it doesn't matter what you've got. /forums/images/icons/smirk.gif
