Go see it.

I never watched the series, had my doubts, and all I can say right now is wow.

That is good to hear. I was a fan of the series (can you call it a series if it lasts less than a full season). Hopefully those who liked the series feel the same way.

I laughed at the previews and assumed it would suck, but it has gotten a solid 80% on RottenTomatoes. I am going to go see this and A History of Violence this weekend.

Saw it last night and was super impressed. I had seen the show though, so it is nice to know that non fans enjoyed it.

An 80% on rotten tomatoes is incredibly high for this type of movie, I would think.

I am quite surprised at the rave reviews and following that this movie has been gathering. So much so that I may actually go see it, even though I'm only a moderate sci-fi fan.

But I hope lots of people go see it, so I can make money off of it. All my sources say it should do fairly well at the box office, so I placed an extremely +EV wager on it (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=3538462&page=0&view=colla psed&sb=5&o=31&fpart=1).

Go see the movie!

I downloaded and watched the entire series after a very strong recommendation, and I loved it. The movie was even better. Definitely go see it if you're doubting it.

Come on then, who saw this at the weekend and what did you think?

I watched it yesterday. It was entertaining, but honestly not all that good. I wasn't disappointed that I watched it, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Interesting, although pretty much expected. I'm a big fan of the series so it's probably a foregone conclusion I'm going to like it. The interesting thing to me is what non-Firefly fans think about it, and whether it works as a standalone movie.

It sounds like it does, but it's nothing spectacular.
