NewBee Question: Folding 2 pair, matching card on board

This is definetly a beginner's question. I just need to know how to interpret and play in this situation.

Hero is SB with 5 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif7 /images/graemlins/heart.gif
UTG fold EP fold MP call, BUT call, Hero call, BB checked
FLOP; 2 /images/graemlins/heart.gif2 /images/graemlins/spade.gif9 /images/graemlins/diamond.gif
Hero checked, BB checked, MP checked, BUT checked
TURN;5 /images/graemlins/club.gif
Hero (SB) checked, BB checked, BUT Bet, SB fold....everyone folded to the button. Should I have folded here? I was new to this game and had no reads as of yet.

Firstly im folding this pf. Id prob prefer to bet out the turn rather than call. The way you played id prob fold. You have kicker probs and its a tiny pot.

Pot is small and you have a very weak hand so folding here is definitely ok.
having said that, the chances of you having the best hand here is actually quite good considering the action so far. So if you wan´t to play raise is the way to go...
Be prepared to fold if threebet though...
