I was a bit disappointed. I loved the idea of it, a black comedy about a man in England who sends away to Russia for a mail order bride. He most wants someone he can talk to, but she doesn't speak any English. He's ready to get rid of her when it turns out she pleases him in other ways, which no doubt most of you can imagine. It had its moments, but there was no spark to it, at least for me, and the ending was too trite.

Ben Chaplin was terrific. Anyone know if he's related to Charlie Chaplin?

I even liked Nicole Kidman, who I have hated (accept to look at) in every other movie I've seen her in. Maybe because she doesn't speak any English for the first hour or so.

Anyway, I give it a B-minus, which is better than most, I suppose. Worthwhile seeing for the unusual plot (with a couple of twists and turns), good performances, and it's only an hour and a half.
