This is the third time today in 4 sets where i've busted early w/ over pair on SCARY BOARD ... help...

Ccan i even get away from hands like these? Should i learn how to get away before i move up to the 109's? Or is getin broke like this 3 time in 1 hour 4 tablin' normal?

The first one is really really obvious, you have an overpair and an open ended straight. The second one is a little more dicey, but i think i play it the same way.

1st hand I play the same. 2nd hand is just tough...probably would have gritted my teeth and played it the same way. I think you've got to lead out 250 like you did on the flop, and then maybe I also tend to underestimate the chances of my opponent having a 10 in this situation. Would like to hear what some of the experts say about the 2nd hand. I also typically make larger than normal raises w/ Q's in the first couple of levels to try and weed some of these types of hands out, but this makes them even tougher to lay down postflop.

I think you played these just fine, playing these hands weakly post flop would be just terrible.

Losing like this 3 times in one hour is nothing more than variance.
