Preflop: Hero is SB with 4/images/graemlins/heart.gif, 3/images/graemlins/heart.gif.
<font color="#CC3333">UTG raises</font>, MP calls, CO calls, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, Hero...?
UTG is a 2+2er. MP and CO are unknowns. BB is somewhat tight and passive preflop over a small sample. Call or fold? And how close do you think it is?

I dunno, maybe this is a leak in my game but I might peel three here. Hero's getting 5:1 on his call and has good relative position. I call.

I count 7.5:1 and what good is his relative position with this hand? C/R a pair of 4's?

There are 7.5 small bets in the pot. Hero has to call 1.5 more. 7.5:1.5 = 5:1. And by good relative position I mean that when Hero makes a hand he'll be able to make up bets by checkraising the field since UTG is likely to continue betting.
Edit: By "makes a hand" I mean a straight or a flush or something, not a 4 /images/graemlins/grin.gif

surely you can think of a better reason to have relative position than checkraising a pair of 4's.

My bad, I totally misread the hand in both the counting respect, and position respect. /images/graemlins/blush.gif
Easy fold. 37:8 is far from enough.
