First instinct is to push...but wait, what could the dude be raising with? Is he really popping it with A7, or did he limp an overpair, or maybe flop two pair or a set?

I think an overpair is most likely...now the question if it's an overpair to my pair.

t695 left, I think folding is safe. If you call you've got a huge pot OOP.

I hate calling, specifically for the reason you stated. I either decide I'm beat and muck, or decide I'm good and shove, giving him an opportunity to fold and eliminating my positional disadvantage.

I don't think this is bad at all, in fact its usually what I do, because I'd much rather have all those chips or none.
