So I have 2 copies of SS2. I want to hollow one out to make it a "secret" stash spot. really it's just for fun because having a hollowed out book would be cool because you see lots of guys in prison movies have them. anyways..

my question is what is the best method to do this? it seems tedious to glue every page together. how do you go about making the cut? tips appreciated.

cheers

As a teenager, I stole a copy of Treasure Island from the school library, and then gutted it with an exacto knife. I was able to store my cigarettes and other paraphernalia there. Please don't tell my Mom.

I think in the prison movies they use a shiv to do it.

This is awesome. If I only had something secretive enough that I needed to stash it...

i think a hardcover book would be far superior.

And then they hide their shiv in it... /images/graemlins/smirk.gif

If you want to resemble a prisoner, make sure you sport the pants drooping to your knees as prisoners are not allowed to wear belts and make sure you remove the laces from your sneakers. Better yet, just get a county jail orange jumpsuit.

Just reminded me of the scene in "Harold and Kumar" when Kumar opens up his MCAT textbook to go to get his stash of weed.

Haha

If I remember correctly, in the opening scene of Rounders (the quintessential poker movie), Matt Damon opened up a secret stashbox with Caro's Book of Tells.

Ever since that scene, I had thought of doing that myself..but it's got to be done with a major classic poker book. Other than Caro's book, I put my vote for Theory of Poker, Supersystem 1 (with the original hardcover) or The Biggest Game in Town by Alvarez.

You can buy "book safes" on Ebay for like $10 bucks. Dont be a tard and pay a deliberate homage to Rounders.

You must have a very small bankroll if you're keeping it in this book.

This is great stuff! I really should do this also... /images/graemlins/crazy.gif but I love my pokerbooks!

I think this was the book in rounders with the dough in it

What a great idea! And to think, I've been putting my valuables in a silly tamper-proof electronic/four-head keyed safe.
