Did Nevada Give Tyson A Raw Deal?

Around the poker table multiple Tyson questions continue to rage.

First : Did Nevada give Tyson a Raw Deal?

The question arises because of the bizarre circumstances surrounding the Tyson Lewis press conference fiasco.

Tyson's actions were so bizarre, that some sports writer’s (minutes after the “incident” occurred) were speculating that Tyson did not feel that he was prepared to fight Lewis.

And, as he did on a previous occasion, they feel that his plan was to delay the planned Lewis bout. And then to fight Lewis later when he was better prepared.

That of course is a reasonable presumption, since Tyson could always withdraw his request for a hearing by the Nevada boxing commission for a renewal of his license.

And then 6 months or so later, when Tyson was in a better condition to fight, he could simply reschedule his licensing hearing.

Some feel that the problem was that though Tyson did repeatedly requested to have his licencing hearing cancelled, the Nevada boxing commission REFUSED to cancel his scheduled hearing.

They feel that Nevada was being unfair to Tyson."They RAW DEALED THE IORN MAN" they chant.

Do you feel that Tyson pretended to act irrational at the press conference? Or do you feel that Tyson was not acting, and was really psychologically out of control?

And either way, after all of the money that Tyson has brought to Nevada, do you feel that Nevada gave Tyson a raw deal?

Question number three :

The other debate that is raging is whether Tyson should be allowed to fight some where other than Nevada.

Especially since Tyson is now nearly indigent, having spent the $125,000,000 dollars that he has won.

Some players at the table feel that Tyson has “crossed the line,” and should not be allowed to fight anywhere in the world.

They pointed out Mikes prison time for rape, his attempt to bite off part of a combatant’s ear, and the two new rape cases being brought against him.

They also pointed out that at his recent press conference Mike demonstrated poor personal control, and the fact that Mike’s old girl friend recently discovered that the “Iron Man” had made a home movie of them having sex for 3 hours. (With out her knowledge or permission)

The other side points out that at the present time Mike Tyson is free to walk the streets and to work.

And that the boxing promoter “ Don King” is free to work, and yet as every one knows "that the KING of boxing" is a convicted murderer.

And that if being a convicted murderer doesn’t prevent someone from working in the boxing industry, why should a handful of rape allegations keep you out of the action.

And that in America “every one” is considered innocent until proven guilty.

And that if Tyson is not allowed to fight some city will loose millions in revenue.

Do you feel that Tyson should be allowed to fight in some other world venue ? Or do you feel that he should be banned from boxing ?
